General Health Conditions

  • Alopecia – A condition causing hair loss, including eyebrows, eyelashes, facial hair, and body hair. Individuals with alopecia may have increased sensitivity to the treatment.
  • Anaemia – Iron deficiency anaemia can lead to increased bleeding and delayed healing.
  • Asthma – Regular inhaler use may cause skin thinning and increased vascularity, leading to easier bruising and longer recovery times.
  • Autoimmune diseases – Conditions such as lupus or rheumatoid arthritis may impair healing and increase the risk of complications.
  • Blepharoplasty Surgery – Plasma fibroblast treatment can only be performed at least one year after eyelid surgery to allow the scar to heal fully.
  • Cancer (active or within the past five years) – Patients undergoing or recently treated for cancer may have weakened immune systems, affecting healing. A doctor’s written approval is required.
  • Diabetes (uncontrolled) – Poorly managed diabetes can lead to delayed wound healing and increased infection risk.
  • Heart conditions – Individuals with heart disease or a history of heart attacks may face a higher risk of complications.
  • Haemophilia or other clotting disorders – These conditions increase the risk of excessive bleeding and slow healing.
  • Hepatitis & Liver Disease – Impaired liver function can hinder proper healing. A doctor’s approval is required before treatment.
  • HIV/AIDS – A weakened immune system can result in higher infection risk and slower healing times.
  • Kidney Disease – Individuals with chronic kidney disease must obtain written consent from their doctor before treatment.
  • Lupus – Due to inflammation and swelling associated with lupus, plasma fibroblast treatment is not recommended.

  • Keloid Scarring – Plasma fibroblast treatment is only recommended when combined with steroid injections to reduce keloid formation.
  • Shingles – Individuals must wait six months after a shingles outbreak before treatment.
